GERONIMO

TOWARD THE UNKNOWN REGION

This was... Chris Bent, playing what were the new singles of the late 60's

on Radio Seagull online every Friday and Saturday, midday and at midnight
overnight on 747Khz in the North of the Netherlands
and weekday nights on DAB+ in Havant via The Flash

27/28 March 2026
on board the LV18, Harwich Harbour

1970 & 1968

On Seagull I was hoping to go back to 1966 in 2026. The first week of releases (issue 107, 7 January 1966)  is ready to be included in a programme. However, life and time will not immediately allow this. So, we will continue with revised recordings for 1970 (minor edits, mainly for sound levels). They were recorded in the weeks leading up to lockdown in 2020, by which time Les Newman was now in the house...

It was the end of March when Boris declared that we must return to our homes. In lockdown Les and I experimented with Zoom and Messenger and turned out some reasonably amusing programmes. As soon as life allows we will begin to investigate The New Singles of 1966, then in 2027 we'll cover those months of 1966 that we will have missed...

Meanwhile, on Mi Amigo radio from the LV18 anchored at Harwich, we are playing The New Singles for 1968

Apologies for the abrupt cut-offs at the end of some of these files.

To paraphrase Eric Morecambe: "We've played all the right songs, but not necessarily in the right order" - Your corrections are always welcome
