This was a VERY good week for pop, psychedelic and early progressive rock singles. Perhaps it was because BBC Radio 1 would launch in a little over one week in 1967 and the record companies had bought forward releases vying for national promotion and chart success. Apologies to fans of new music. We plan to resume the voyage to the unknown region next week...but check out the quality from 56 years ago:
