The New Singles scheduled for release 1967-08-11 Hour 1
Chris and Les talk about the Marine Etc Broadcasting Offences Act of 14 August 1967. This was the final batch of new releases issued whilst BIG L Radio London was still on the air. Who knows how well some of these would have fared with further promotion. With few airplays after 14 August 1967 the Herd single took until mid November to reach a peak chart position of 8. Remember, it would be almost seven weeks before BBC Radio One was launched. Caroline continued for another seven months...
